I like to travel. I keep an open mind. I am not into fashion as it changes too much. Life is to be lived day by day while taking care of daily responsibilities. Still going out is fun, although karaoke is not that popular in Eindhoven (at least by my knowledge). Keeping in touch is also kinda difficult as I have friends who used to live in the vicinity, but moved to a place closer to work. I could go on rambling, but what's the fun in that? Anyhow if you want to know me better, feel free to sent me an e-mail.
My hobbies include reading, martial arts, listening to music, watching drama and anime.

I also heard of Eishin ryu iai, but what I am practicing is indeed called Enshin-ryu. Actually it is iaijutsu, it is an old school and they still practice it very close to the way it was done when the school was founded. I go there on saturdays, roughly every 2 weeks or so. The jo work in aikido is very different from jodo because it is derived from spear work and in any case we either use the jo to do aikido techniques as an extension of the arms or we use aikido techniques to disarm someone with a jo. But still practicing jodo gave me a new perspective in the use of the weapon and change a bit my point of view, it was very good. I could be nice to come back for jodo lessons, but I shifted my aikido schedule and I am practicing on tuesdays and wednesdays, so at the moment I cannot make it. The Ishido cup on sunday is only for iaido or for jodo as well?
Hi Simon, I am sorry that the european tournament didnt go well, but for sure it was a good experience. Congratulations on your shodan, that's really nice. I wish you luck for the Ishido cup this coming sunday, I am sure you will make it.
I recently started practicing enshin-ryu iai, it is quite different from from the traditional seitei iai, I like it a lot. The only thing is that I have to go to Belgium for that, so I can only make it about 2 a month, but its good and I really like the teacher. He is a friend of my old aikido/iaido teacher in israel. But jodo I havent done anything since I stopped practicing, though I feel that my jo practice in aikido changed a bit.
